PA2STA is a grassroots organization dedicated to providing the tools and know-how that will aid children and their families who are seeking to improve their lives.
I want to share with you three pointed questions and my answers.
Why this challenge ?
Having experienced the mission, the students and families first-hand, I wanted to work on improving the lives of those seeking to improve their own lives. I witnessed first-hand where the poorest children of Honduras (those being educated in the Mission Schools) are not necessarily high on the list to receive the benefits of their government. Most of the children attending the mission schools, as well as some of the families, live on the mission grounds and receive only what is brought to them from those visiting the mission. By giving the children the opportunity to learn computer skills now, we will be ensuring that they have the skills they need to succeed.
After a successful deployment, I will then seek other projects that PA2STA can get involved in, to improve more lives. While there is a saturation of non-profits seeking funds for their causes, my idea is to link an obtainable goal where a small amount of money and time directly from individuals can make a more immediate difference.
Why now ?
I have been seeking to do something more rewarding, utilizing my talents and skills, but since I could not find an organization that met my requirements, I decided to start my own.
Why I started and why you should join PA2STA ?
After being a member of a group that went to Honduras, I now want to lead groups of people looking to do something more than just provide funds and hoping that the money goes directly to their stated cause.
